Every month, our development team delivers improvements across the Microkeeper platform.
Some are visible changes, some run quietly in the background, but all of them are aimed at making payroll, rostering, and HR admin more accurate and less time-consuming.
Here's what landed in May:
Locations, a cleaner way to configure your sites

The Locations page has been redesigned with a new three-panel layout that makes it significantly easier to set up and manage your locations. Manager selection, staff access, and geofencing configuration are all clearer and faster to work through.
You can now search for location by address, or drag a pin directly on a map to set an exact point, useful when a street address alone isn’t precise enough. Whether you’re setting up a new site or updating an existing one, the whole process is more intuitive than before.
Adding new employees, clearer and faster

The add employee flow has been updated with a cleaner UI, clearer validation, and automatic username suggestions. Duplicate warnings now flag potential matches earlier in the process, reducing the chance of adding a staff member who already exists in the system.
Roster template, better on mobile

Roster templates now have an improved mobile layout and clearer template name handling. If your managers are building or applying templates from their phone, this one’s for them.
Roster CSV import

You can now import your Roster Calendar via CSV. A downloadable template is available to make formatting straightforward, and the import includes clearer validation and a confirmation step before any overlapping shifts are replaced, so there are no surprises.

Timesheets V2, accuracy improvements

A number of reliability improvements have landed for Timesheets V2 this month:
- Public holiday roster overlap handling has been improved for accounts using calendar rosters.
- Missing clock-off shifts now remain visible on the timesheet page without incorrectly adding paid hours.
- Total hours are calculated more reliably on large accounts.
- Client and Job filters now narrow the employee list more accurately, with clearer empty states and improved role and location details.
- Break selection now shows only the relevant break rules for the selected employee, with more reliable handling for automated breaks.
Payslip address field retired
The option to include an address on payslip has been removed. If this affects your setup, get in touch with our support team.
API, new endpoints
For businesses and developers using the Microkeeper API, two new endpoints have been added this month: group configuration and ABN pay cycle.
As always, if you have questions about any of these updates or need a hand getting set up, our support team is available by phone and ticket.
