Managing employee licenses, certifications and training records can quickly become messy.

Who has submitted their documents?

Who still needs to?

Which certifications are about to expire?

To make this easier, we've introduced a new Skill Review experience in Microkeeper, designed to give managers a clearer overview of employee skills and a faster way to review submissions.

The update introduces a redesigned review workflow, a new overview page, and better tools for trakcing workforce compliance.

A clear overview of skills across your team

The new Skill Review page gives managers a central place to monitor employee skill submissions across the organisation.

Instead of navigating individual employee records, you can quickly see:

Skills pending approval

Certifications approaching expiry or submissions that require more information

Employees missing required skills

The overview makes it easier to identify what needs attention and keep compliance records up to date.

Review and approve submissions faster

Managers can open any submission in a focused review view to check documents, expiry dates and submission details.

From there you can:

Review uploaded certificates or documents

Add notes if changes are required

Approve or decline submissions

When reviewing multiple submissions, the Approve and Next worklfow allows you to move directly to the next pending review, making it much faster to process batches of submissions.

Quickly identify missing skills

One of the most useful additions is the ability to easily identify employees who have not completed required skills.

Using the filters on the Skills Review page, managers can view:

  • Employees missinga required skill.
  • Completion progress across the team.
  • Specific skills at specific locations.

If required, you can send reminder emails directly from the page to employees who still need to submit their documentation.

Submit skills on behalf of employees

Managers can also submit a skill on behalf of an employee.

This is useful during onboarding or when assisting staff who may not be able to upload their documents themselves.

For example, administrators can upload licenses or certificates during onboarding so records remain complete from day one.

Better visibility for compliance

Skills and certifications often play an important role in workplace safety and refulatory compliance.

With the updated Skill Review workflow, managers can now:

  • Quickly review submissions
  • Track expiring qualifications
  • Identify missing certifications
  • Maintain a clearer record of approvals and notes

This helps ensure workplace qualifications remain visible and easy to manage.
